8 hot dogs
8 hot dog buns
Peanut oil
1 medium onion (chopped)
2 large whole pickles (hand cut in 6 spears each)
Yellow mustard

Heat peanut oil in a fryer to 350°.

I grew up in a small Pennsylvania town called Easton. Ever since I can remember, there was a hot dog stand that only sold hot dogs, chips, and Coke. Oh yeah, and chocolate milk. That's it. The way they cooked their hot dogs was, and still is, probably the closest guarded secret in town. Although these directions may be off by a mile, the finished hot dog is very, very close.
